Such application shall be considered on a case-to-case basis . Successful applicant may be admitted with credit transfer, where applicable. Certified copies of the Certificate of Awards, official transcripts, programme structure, syllabi and all other relevant information and materials related to your previous studies from SPM onwards are to be enclosed. Applicants holding Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia Vokasional (SPMV) qualifications may also apply. Successful applicants will be required to undertake the Foundation Programmes conducted at both Sungai Long and Kampar Campuses. Upon successful completion of the Foundation Prgrammes, students will then proceed to the corresponding Bachelor Honours Degree Programmes. | |||||||||||||||
10. | I am a working adult with few years of work experience. I do not have a formal academic qualification. I am interested to take up a full-time/part-time degree programme. Can I apply for admission into Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman? | ||||||||||||||
Applicants without a formal academic qualification may apply for admission to UTAR through Accreditation for Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) assessment. Interested applicants (must be 21 years and above) may apply for APEL assessment through MQA website where successful applicants will be awarded the APEL(A) certificate by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) for admission to the institutions of higher learning in Malaysia.

The Department of Student Affairs (DSA) assists students in obtaining accommodation in the manner as follows: DSA Accommodation List DSA has compiled a list of available accommodation within the vicinity of the campuses, i.e. around Bandar Sungai Long and Kampar, Perak. The accommodation includes single-storey and double-storey houses, flats, apartments and condominiums. 17. | Can I transfer the fees paid for the current trimester to the trimester where I resume my programme? | ||||||||||||||
Where an application is made for leave of absence before the fifth week of trimester, all fees paid is transferable to the trimester the student rejoins his programme. For applications made after the above deadline, all fees paid are non-transferable except under extenuating circumstances approved by the University on a case-to-case basis . 19. | I wish to withdraw from the University. Will my fees be refunded? | ||||||||||||||
Where a student withdraws before the commencement of the trimester, there will be a 70% refund of tuition fees and full refund on Caution Money upon online application. For students who have paid and registered after the commencement date of programme, there is STRICTLY no refund of all fees paid EXCEPT Caution Money or, for international students, the Security Bond Deposit upon withdrawal from programme. This Health Examination Report is compulsory for all NEW students and can be examined by any private or government doctors. Students can complete the medical check-up and submit the Health Examination Report to the university when they physically report for studies at UTAR, after the COVID-19 situation has improved and when the students are allowed
