      2.How can I obtain the Admission Application Form?
       The Admission Application Form is obtainable in 4 ways:
       
        
      (i)In person
       
      The Admission Application Form can be purchased from our Division of Finance's counter in all UTAR campuses at RM10 per set. 

      (ii)By mail
       
      You may request for it via mail by cutting out the advertisement in major local dailies and sending it to Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman at Jalan Universiti Bandar Barat 31900, Kampar Perak . You are to enclose a 15" X 10" self-addressed envelope affixed with RM3.50 stamp and a postal order/money order of RM10.00 in favour of " Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman " for each set of Application Form requested.
        
      (iii)Via Internet

      3.What documents are required for application?
       Completed application form must be submitted together with the following documents:
       
      1. Certified true copy of actual SPM/Other equivalent results;
      2. Certified true copy of actual STPM/A-Level/SAM/CPU/UEC/Other equivalent results;
      3. Certified true copy of School Leaving Certificate;
      4. Certified true copy of Identity Card;
      5. Certified true copy of MUET (compulsory for STPM holders);
      6. A non-refundable processing fee of RM60.00 in money order/postal order/bankdraft made payable to "Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman". (Please note that personal cheque/cash is NOT accepted);
      7. Self-addressed envelope measuring 7" X 10" affixed with a RM1.00 stamp; and
      8. Self-addressed envelope measuring 3.5" X 6" affixed with a RM0.80 stamp.
      9. 1 copy of passport-sized photograph to be affixed on the top right-hand corner of page 1 of the download application form/OMR(Optical Mark Recognition) form.
      If you are using other equivalent qualification(s), for example, Diploma or Advanced Diploma from a College/Institution/Polytechnic, you are also required to submit together with the application form:
      1. Certified true copy of Certificate of Awards;
      2. Official academic transcripts;
      3. Programme structure and syllabi;
      4. Official letter from Private College/Institution of Higher Learning on the Standard Minimum/Accreditation from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA); and
      5. All relevant information and materials related to your previous studies from SPM onwards.
      Applications submitted without the above documents will be processed for normal admission without any consideration for credit transfer.

      5.How do I know whether my application is complete?
       Where an applicant has submitted an incomplete application, he would be informed of it:

      Kindly be informed that we are unable to process your application as there is/are outstanding document(s) which have not been submitted to us: 


      Kindly submit the above-mentioned documents to us within 7 working days from the date of the receipt of your application form by the University.

      Entry Requirements
        
      6.What are the general requirements for entry to Foundation Programmes at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman?
       
      A candidate having fulfilled the minimum entry requirements stipulated hereinbelow shall be eligible for consideration for entry into the Foundation Programmes:- 

      For the programme of Foundation in Science, the following are the minimum entry requirements:-
       
      • Pass SPM with 5 credits which must include Mathematics and 2 Science subjects; OR
      • Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with Grade B in 1 Mathematics subject and 2 Science subjects; OR
      • O-Level with credit in 5 subjects which must include Mathematics and 2 Science subjects; OR
      • Other equivalent qualification approved by the Senate.
      For the programme of Foundation in Arts, the following are the minimum entry requirements:-
      • Pass SPM with 5 credits; OR
      • Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with Grade B in 3 subjects; OR
      • O-Level with 5 credits; OR
      • Other equivalent qualification approved by the Senate.

      7.What are the general requirements for entry to Bachelor Honours Degree Programmes at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman?
       
      Subject to such additional qualifications required for each individual degree programme offered by the University, a candidate having fulfilled the minimum entry requirements stipulated hereinbelow shall be eligible for consideration for entry to Bachelor Honours Degree Programmes :-
       
      • Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with minimum 2 principal passes; OR
      • Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with Grade B in 5 relevant subjects; OR
      • A-Level with minimum 2 passes in the relevant subjects; OR
      • South Australian Matriculation (SAM) with a Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of 70 and Grade B in 2 of the relevant subjects; OR
      • Canadian Pre-University (CPU) with an average of 70% in 6 of the relevant subjects; OR
      • Other equivalent qualification approved by the Senate.

      8.I am a Diploma holder. Can I apply for admission into Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman?
       
      Such applications shall be considered on a case-to-case basis . Successful applicants may be admitted with credit transfer, where applicable. 

      Certified copies of the Certificate of Awards, official transcripts, programme structure, syllabi, samples of past examination papers and all other relevant information and materials related to the application are to be enclosed. Applications submitted without the above documents will be processed for normal admission without any consideration for credit transfer.
        
      9.I have only SPM qualification. Can I apply for admission into Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman?
       
      Applicants holding Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia Vokasional (SPMV) qualifications may also apply. Successful applicants will be required to undertake the Foundation Programmes conducted at both Sungai Long and Kampar Campuses. Upon successful completion of the Foundation Prgrammes, students will then proceed to the corresponding Bachelor Honours Degree Programmes.
        
      10.What is the English Language Requirement of the University?

      You are required to submit a written appeal for late registration to the Division of Admissions and Credit Evaluation. The outcome of the appeal depends upon the availability of places.

      14.Does the University help out in accommodation?
       
      The Department of Student Affairs (DSA) assists students in obtaining accommodation in the manner as follows:

      DSA Accommodation List 
      DSA has compiled a list of available accommodation within the vicinity of the campuses, i.e. around Bandar Sungai Long and Kampar, Perak. The accommodation includes single-storey and double-storey houses, flats, apartments and condominiums.

      DSA provides a list of Estate Agents, who may help you get your choice of accommodation.

      16.How do I apply for leave of absence from my study?
       
      You are required to submit a duly completed Application for Leave of Absence Form obtainable from the Division of Admissions and Credit Evaluation or the Faculty General Office or Centre for Foundation Studies. Approval for such applications is not automatic but determined by the University on a case-to-case basis .
        
      17.Can I transfer the fees paid for the current trimester to the trimester where I resume my programme?
       
      Where an application is made for leave of absence before the fifth week of trimester, all fees paid is transferable to the trimester the student rejoins his programme. 

      For applications made after the above deadline, all fees paid are non-transferable except under extenuating circumstances approved by the University on a case-to-case basis

      18.I wish to withdraw from the University. What is the procedure on withdrawal?
       
      You are to submit a completed Notification to Withdraw from the University form obtainable from the Division of Admissions and Credit Evaluation or the Faculty General Office or Centre for Foundation Studies.
        
      19.I wish to withdraw from the University. Will my fees be refunded?
       
      Where a student withdraws before the commencement of the trimester, there will be a 70% refund of tuition fees and full refund on Caution Money upon online application.

      For students who have paid and registered after the commencement date of programme, there is STRICTLY no refund of all fees paid EXCEPT Caution Money or, for international students, the Security Bond Deposit upon withdrawal from programme.

      You will be required to submit a duly completed Application for Reinstatement Form obtainable from the Division of Admissions and Credit Evaluation or the Faculty /Centre for Foundation Studies General Office.        You must:

      (b)meet the minimum entry requirements of the programme which you wish to transfer to.
        
       
      The Programme Transfer form is obtainable from the Division of Admissions and Credit Evaluation or the Faculty General Office. 

      The closing date for submission of such applications is normally at the end of the second week post commencement of the trimester for new students. 

      Successful applicants who wish to accept the programme transfer are required to pay the programme transfer fee (compulsory) and difference in tuition fees (where applicable)

      You may apply for programme transfer in the final trimester of your Foundation Programme. All applications must be accompanied with photocopies of Notification of Results slip and will be considered on a case-to-case basis.

      The application for credit transfer is to be made together with the application for admission to the University. Certified true copy of the following documents must be submitted together with the Application Form:
